Compress PDF App Reviews

I scanned a three-page bank statement and ended up with at 43 MB doc. This app reduced it to a non-fuzzy pdf that is a mere 602 KB. The file-reduction mechanism of Preview just made it fuzzy, and the other Quarz filters were useless (I dont need my bank statement in sepia). This, by contrast, has just what one wants for preserving fidelity while reducing bloat. Thanks!

Tried reducing the pdf size in other ways, even recreating the whole file, but nothing worked very efficiently. Decided to try this app. I was amazed at the compression ration. It reduced a pdf file from 65 mb to 4.8 mb without loosing any noticable quality. Very satisfied. Well worth the money.

It quickly took a 29mg file down to 4mg on the med setting. No loss of quality….great

Had a 69mb pdf which had just 6 pages of text and the remainder were all graphics. This was not able to do any better than working with the Preview app on my Mac which reduced the file to roughly the same size. Very disappointed, thankfully I only wasted $3.

Exactly what I needed! Worked perfectly. Really liked having size options.

I usually don’t review apps after first use, but I was so impressed I had to post something. I couldn’t email a 180MB pdf document because it was too big. This app compressed the 180MB document to 7.5MB, which wasn’t even the highest compression level. The email went quick. I was scared it might have currupted my document, but they opened just fine on the receiving end. Highly recommended.

I get a lot of reports of our networked database “not working” when people try to upload HUGE pdfs (e.g. 16MB files that are just a couple of pages of bw text). With users spread across the globe all using different scanners, and clearly not really understanding their scanner settings, this is a godsend for getting the documents down to a size that won’t defeat our networked database’s storage and upload capacity.

This is one of the best apps that I own. It is easy to use and does exactly what it says it will do. Compress PDF works so fast and easily that I was astonished. It seemed like magic.I highly recommend this app to anyone who needs to send large PDF files.

Wow, I never write reviews but I had spent 2 hours unsucessfully trying to compress a PDF - could not get the quality I wanted in a small file. It took two seconds for me to convert my 26MB PDF to 7MB at the highest quality of compression (my pdf was all text). BRILLIANT quality in the resulting smaller file. THANKS!

It’s so nice to come across a very well designed and useful app for a fair price. No complaints, does one job…very well.

It would be nice if this could compress many files at once. I don’t see why it can’t. I have a bunch of PDFs I need to compress and I have to do them one at a time. I’d like be able to load them all in at once and have it compress them all and then spit them out to the designated folder. This is pretty easy to do and I’m puzzled why the devs didn’t put this feature in.

After installing two similar apps that turned out to be horrible (one of them was free and included a watermark, then asked you to pay to remove the watermark, really?? the other didn’t even work and cost me $1.99) Finally an app that works! Thank you!

I have a lot of photo sheets that I compress into smaller files. This app works good. I sent an email to support for them to consider having the app open up in the last folder so I don’t have to relocate my folders. It is not really much of a problem. Over all this is a great app. The compression that I am getting is about 1 tenth (1:10) of the original file. I keep both files. My original files are sometimes 50 MB or more and the compression only takes a few seconds. The quality of the output file is very good. Well worth the cost. I highly recommend it to anyone.

User-friendly and useful for the price. However, compression/file size reduction was limited on some files. I used this application to shrink down PDF sizes to upload/email. For $0.99 it’s definitely worth trying.

With some scanned pages the compression is too aggressive and documents become illegible even after playing with all the different compressions options.

I use this App all the time to compress Hi Res JPGs to send to customers- JPG Files need to be RGB files though or else color gets disstorted
